FRANCE, Royal. Louis XVI. 1774–1793. CU Liard – 3 Deniers (22mm, 3 g, 6h). Constitutional issue. Lyon mint; différent: eagle's head. Jean Humbert Bernavon, engraver. Dually dated 1792 A and L'An 4. Duplessy 1725; Ciani 2256; VG 5; KM 608.1. In NGC encapsulation graded AU 58 BN. Moderate to dark patina and pleasant appearance. A one year only type of the Constitutional period. Very rare and among the finest known.
