NORWAY. Oscar I. 1844-1859. AR Speciedaler (37mm, 28.91 g, 6h). Kongsberg mint. Dated 1846. KM 317; Davenport 243. In NGC encapsulation graded MS 67 WINGS APPROVED. Moderate iridescent toning over satin surfaces. Finest known speciedaler of any date in the 19th century. Sure to bring spirited bidding as all crowns of Norway of this period are rare. This is the most spectacular exmple that this cataloger has ever seen.
