1836 P$1 Name on Base, Judd-60 Original, Pollock-65, R.1 -- Repaired -- NGC Details. Proof, XF. Silver. Plain Edge. No Stars Obverse, Stars Reverse. Die Alignment I (coin turn, center of Liberty's head opposite the D in DOLLAR). Die State A -- none of the die defects associated with later die states are visible, although the coin's light wear and mild repair work may obscure them. The coin is mottled russet-gray in its patina, with uniform surfaces that show light field smoothing from an effort to efface abrasions. The coin will fit in well with other circulated dollars in XF grades.
