1866 G$1 MS66+ PCGS. CAC. The 1866 gold dollar is collectible in Mint State, although it is many times scarcer than common dates such as the 1862. This is a rare Premium Gem example, and the only coin in this numeric grade with CAC endorsement. Sharp, frosty motifs complement reflective fields, providing a prooflike appearance throughout the bright blond-gold luster. No major abrasions are seen. Population: 9 in 66 (2 in 66+), 10 finer. CAC: 1 in 66, 6 finer (2/24).
