Indian Quarter Eagles
1912 $2 1/2 MS65 PCGS. Anyone assembling a high-grade set of Indian quarter eagles knows what a stopper the 1912 date can be. Even Choice Uncirculated or finer grade 1912s are often lackluster with only marginal eye appeal. This colorful and radiantly lustrous Gem Mint State coin stands out among the vast majority of 1912 examples. Deep-orange surfaces display rich lilac accents across sharply struck design elements. Finely grained surfaces avoid any significant marks or abrasions and the visual impression is outstanding for this challenging Philadelphia issue. PCGS reports a mere five numerically finer examples, plus five more in 65+ (2/24).
