Proof Liberty Nickels
1885 5C PR67 Cameo NGC. JD-1, R.1. The 1885 Liberty nickel is popular with collectors due to its low circulation-strike mintage that was the second lowest of any issue behind the 1912-S nickel. While proof production does not correspond with the low mintage for circulation, this issue retains solid demand in the collector community. This Superb Gem Cameo proof is finer than most survivors and exhibits delicate iridescent toning with excellent contrast. Census: 19 in 67 Cameo (3 in 67+, 2 in 67★), 1 finer (2/24).
