The right-facing portrait of Liberty wears a headband displaying LIBERTY in raised letters and a single star at the front. UNITED STATES OF AMERICA borders the upper rim, with IN GOD WE TRUST in a curved ribbon below. The Standard Silver reverse has the date 1869 below. Struck in copper with a reeded edge. Certified as Red and Brown, this piece displays deep-blue accents on the high points surrounded by a original mint red that is only interrupted by a faint speckling of brown and blue. The reflective fields are lustrous and attractive. Housed in a former generation holder.
