An absolutely superb complete set of Bank of China specimens dated 1995. Collectors of Hong Kong banknotes will know that no issued 20, 50 and 100 Dollars are known, the 500 Dollars extremely rare and the 1000 Dollars scarce. This is the first complete set offered in the public auction and provides evidence that the issuance of the lower denominations was considered. 1995 was the second year when the Bank began issuing banknotes in Hong Kong and as to why so few notes were issued remains a enigma. Certainly an impressive and the hold grail of Hong Kong specimen notes. Phenomenally rare. PMG Comments "Previously Mounted" on all notes.
Estimate: $75000 - $85000
