Richard III (1483-1485), Type IIb, Groat, Tower, crowned bust facing, in double-tressure of 9 arches, lys on cusps except above crown, rev. long cross and pellets, 2.94g [45.4grns], 12h, m.m. boar's head 1 (Winstanley Pl. 2, No. 3; North 1679; Spink 2156), slightly clipped and straightened, otherwise uniform devices with light blue field-toning, near very fine, scarce and iconic.
