Calabria, Taras, AR Nomos, Aristokles, magistrate, c. 272-240 BC, naked warrior on horseback left, wearing crested helmet and holding shield, ARISTON below and EPI to left, rev. Phalanthos riding dolphin left, holding hippocamp and trident, 6.51g (Vlasto 930; HN Italy 1044; SNG ANS 1238), light carbon-spotting, nevertheless well struck, toned and very fine or better.
