BAHAMAS. Bahamas Government & Monetary Authority. 1/2 to 100 Dollars, L. 1965 & 1968. P-Various. Presentation Book.
An important item that is becoming quite scarce intact, as most are broke up for the individual pieces. This book is still together and shows a gilt seal at center and inside left cover gilt wording which reads "CURRENCY NOTES ISSUED BY, THE GOVERNMENT OF THE BAHAMAS, 1966-68, CURRENCY NOTES PRINTED FOR THE BAHAMAS MONETARY AUTHORITY, FROM 1969." Following pages blank, with next left giving small detail of the differences between the Government and Monetary Authority notes. Included are mostly triple signature types for the Government notes, with both the Orange and Green Five Dollar notes present. Some seen with a bit of typical wrinkle from being in the presentation for such a lengthy time, but strong white paper and vivid color remains throughout. All with specimen serial numbers and diagonal overprint at center, with just the Government 1/2 and Green Five Dollar note showing punch cancels and TDLR oval overprints. An extremely important offering. Uncirculated.
