CANADA. Royal Bank of Canada. 20 Dollars, 1913. 630-12-12.
An design which has recently been overshadowed by the Dominion of Canada 1912 $5 issue, also depicting a locomotive vignette. These $20 Royal Bank of Canada notes however, are far more scarce and also show an more interesting steam locomotive used for a vignette. This train is a Challenger type being one of the scant few articulated engine designs used in the time period, with other notable designs being the "Big Boy" and "Cab Forward" types. The note itself is a borderline EF which is highly scarce for this catalog number which typically is found in Fine to low end Very Fine grades. PCGS Very Fine 35 PPQ.
