Charles I, Briot's Second Milled Issue (1638-39), halfcrown, m.m. anchor (with flukes to left on obverse, right on reverse), signed B on both sides, obv., King on horseback riding left, holding upright sword, rev., crowned oval garnished shield with crowned C R at sides, 15.08g (Brooker 724; N. 2304; S. 2858), struck on a slightly mis-cut flan and thus displaying a 'clip' at 12 0'clock (but of full weight), good very fine Provenance: A.H.
