PERU, Lima, gold bust 8 escudos, Ferdinand VI, 1755/4 JM, rare, PCGS AU58, finest and only example in PCGS census. KM-unl (59.1 for type); Cal-768; Fr-20. Richly red toned over muted luster, choice full strike but with hint of die-rust, the overdate wispy but certain, the only example recorded at either PCGS or NGC (erroneously attributed to Cal-769 on label) and only the second one we have encountered.
