ATTICA, Athens. Circa 165-42 BC. AR Tetradrachm (28mm, 16.34 g, 12h). New Style coinage. Niketes, Dionysios, and Embi-, magistrates. Struck 97/6 BC. Helmeted head of Athena Parthenos right / Owl standing right, head facing, on amphora; magistrates' names in fields; gorgoneion to right; M on amphora, MH below; all within wreath. Thompson 958a (same obv. die); HGC 4, 1602. Toned, light scratch on obverse, slight doubling on reverse. Good VF.
