CENTRAL EUROPE. Pannonia. 2nd-1st century BC. Drachm (Silver, 17 mm, 3.32 g, 1 h). Celticized head of Athena to right, wearing decorated and crested Corinthian helmet. Rev. >OEΣ Zeus seated left on low throne, holding long scepter in his left hand and eagle standing right with closed wings in his right; to left, club. Dembski 1496. Flesche 557 (this coin). Lanz -. OTA 597. Beautifully toned and boldly struck in high relief, an excellent example with a fine pedigree. Good very fine.
