Bohemia
Ferdinand III gold 10 Ducats 1648 EF Chased, Prague mint, KM460. An impressively large gold coin weighing 34.50 grams featuring the laureate and bearded bust of Ferdinand III wearing a lace collar and the imperial eagle with the White Lion of Bohemia on its breast. The mintmark, a hand grasping a six-pointed star is in a circle at the base. The surfaces were most likely chased during the 19th century, which ultimately embolden the details. A wonderful and historical piece, struck with the dies prepared for silver Taler coinage.
