A cut 1/2 segment of a Spanish Colonial 8 Reales, countermarked with "S" stamp three times (for St. Kitts ca. 1801) and with "Tirtila" type II stamp (for Tortola, ca. 1805-1824) on obv. Base coin Very Good, countermarks good Fine, 12.82 grams. A fine specimen of this rare double island issue, with the "Tirtila" stamp well defined. Ex. H. D. Gibbs and Roehrs collections.
