Republic silvered-bronze Proof Peso Obverse Essai 1873 PR58 NGC, struck at the Paris mint, engraved by Albert Barre with a tiny, "A.B." below the bust, reeded edge, NGC has incorrectly labeled the holder as "Reverse Trial." Obverse as Restrepo p. 207, #54, KM-TS7. Boldly struck, with mottled gray and argent-gray toning. Light contact marks are noted, with the faintest hint of cabinet friction on the high points. Extremely rare, and the first we have seen.
