Philippe VI (1328-50) gold Écu d'or à la chaise ND MS62 PCGS, 1st Emission, from 1 January 1337, Fr-270, Duplessy-249. + PhILIPPVS : DЄI x | x GRA x | FRAnCORVM : RЄX, King seated on Gothic throne, a sword in his right hand and his left supporting a shield / + o XP'C : VInCIT : XP'C : RЄGИAT : XP'C : INPЄRAT, cross fleurée with voided quatrefoil in center and at the ends of the limbs, leaves in angles; all within a quadrilobe with trefoils in spandrels. A lightly handled example with minor obverse double-striking. Substantial residual luster remains throughout the fields.
