Kings of All England. Edward the Confessor (1042-66) Penny 1059-62 MS63 NGC, Wallingford mint, Brihtmær as moneyer, S-1182, North-828. EΛDPΛR | RD REX, draped and crowned bust right, a scepter held before / + BRIHTMAER ON PALI:, voided cross with limbs terminating in incurved crescents. An appealing specimen with deep-gray tone and some light reverse cleaning marks. A small crack located at the bottom of the obverse has been stabilized with glue.
