Charles I Briot 1/2 Crown ND (1638-39) XF40 NGC, Second Milled Issue, Anchor and B mm, S-2858 (Insert incorrectly attributes coin as S-2861), XF40 NGC. A scarce issue, the example offered here bears lovely tone and only a couple of tiny planchet flaws. A close inspection reveals light abrasive marks throughout the fields surrounding the devices from long ago.
