Republic gold 4 Escudos 1832/1 Go-MJ XF45 NGC, Guanajuato mint, KM 381.4, Fr-83. Very pleasing to the eye with limited actual wear, few handling marks and very attractively toned with hints of red and orange in the fields. The 2/1 overdate mentioned as "possible" by Long is clearly apparent on the present coin - albeit not mentioned on the slab - and is scarcer than the plain date variety.From The Valle de la Rana Collection
