Republic gold 4 Escudos 1855 Go-PJ AU55 NGC, Guanajuato mint, KM-381.4, Fr-83. A few planchet flaws and some handling marks but an obviously high grade specimen with significant remaining luster. For accuracy purposes, a strike-through across the denomination is mentioned. Likely among the finest known of this elusive date rated as "Extremely rare" by Long and therefore a rare opportunity for the specialist to acquire a high grade example.
