Republic gold 4 Escudos 1848 Mo-GC VF20 NGC, Mexico City mint, KM381.6, Fr-77. Choice Fine, an unflawed specimen of this very rare date, unlisted in Krause and Buttrey, and rated as "Extremely rare uncatalogued" by Long, who only traced three examples. Only two specimens graded by NGC (the present coin and the one listed as Fine are in fact the same specimen), both of which were included in the Long census.
