Nicholas I Novodel Kopeck 1831 CM MS63 Brown NGC, Suzun mint, Bitkin-H702 (R2), KM-N500, Brekke-81a. Obv. Crowned double-headed Imperial eagle, with wings down, and date below. Rev. Value. The devices are bold, for having been struck with a less than optimal die, and some original mint red color remains. Obviously, this Novodel was struck from a die on it's last legs, as evidence of the die cracking is numerous on both the obverse and reverse. This issue is extremely rare as a novodel, and we can find no recent record of sale.From The Collection of Dr. Roger R. McFadden
