Isabel II Proof Trial Strike 20 Reales Obverse and Reverse Pair 1851 PR63 & PR62 NGC, Madrid mint, KM unl., cf. Cal. p. 772. A pair of obv. and rev. trial strikes in silvered copper for the unadopted pattern 20 Reales 1851, engraved by Eduardo Fernandez Pescador. Both are Choice Proof, with the bust side with a trifle more contact marks. Calico mentioned only the 185x, 1854 and 1855 varieties of this rare pattern, so this 1851 is presumably even more elusive. Lot of two coins.
