Provisional 2 Reales 1832 Choice Very Fine - Extremely Fine, San Salvador mint, KM11.4 var., cf. Jovel p. 56-57. A far above average specimen of the "Cornejo" 1832 provisional necessity issues, with only slight wear and probably XF and thus unusually choice for this very scarce and crude issue . Moreover, this example is of the far rarer variety with the "Moneda Provisional" inscription on the volcano side instead of the column side. The Volcano side included the declaration of being a provisional coin only during 1828 and 1829; that political statement was moved to the column side for ALL the issues of 1832 -1833, and 1834 EXCEPT for this one example, the only such example confirmed by us. As such, its appeal and importance to the courageous specialists who undertake the daunting task of collecting this fascinating series can hardly be overestimated. We expect strong interest on this little jewel.
