Nicholas I silver 5 Kopecks 1826 CПБ-HГ MS64 NGC, St. Petersburg mint, Bitkin-102 (R) listing under Nicholas I, KM-C126, this is the "wings up" type of KM-C126 and the only year of the type struck under Nicholas I. NGC has incorrectly listed this as Alexander I on the holder, Alexander I died in 1825 and to the best of our knowledge, there were no silver 5 Kopecks of 1826 produced under Alexander I. Fully lustrous, with a hint of gray toning, and a soft strike on the crown on both sides. A very scarce issue, and especially so in this Choice condition.
Estimate: 800-1000 USD
