Rouble 1720, Kadashevsky Mint, K. 28.55 g. Bitkin 415 (R). Severin 487. Diakov 1038. Rare. 3++ roubles according to Trapeznikov. Good very fine.

Extremely rare interesting mint error:
1)A previously minted coin was not removed from the die and a new blank planchet was placed on this already minted piece. Then another minting process took place, whereby the obverse eagle was struck in positive and the reverse in incuse fashion from the previously minted coin. Thus also the incuse legend (MOHETA...).
2)Obviously the mistake was noticed in the mint and the erroneously minted planchet was turned around and struck again. In other words where the eagle was in the first minting, now appears the Czar's head in the second minting process.
