JAISALMIR: AR nazarana ½ rupee (5.21g), "Shahjahanabad ", AH "115x " year "22 ", KM-4, in the name of the Mughal emperor Muhammad Shah, struck circa 1780-1858, about VF, RRR, ex Eck Prud'homme Collection. KM plate specimen. The pseudo-mint and date are from the issues struck in the name of Muhammad Shah at Delhi (Shahjahanabad) in the year he was defeated by the Afsharid ruler of Iran, Nadir Shah. All coins of Jaisalmir retain this mint & date, even the later issues that are in the name of Queen Victoria (regnal year only), more than a certury later.
