A Pair of Costa Rican Ceramics. A pair of fine ceramics from Costa Rica, ca. 1000 – 1500 AD. It consists of an unusual 4-1/2" tall female figure covered with white kaolin slip. Facial details are and appendages are appliquéd and a trio of perforations at the rear do not appear to serve any function. Also a nice Diquis polychrome jar, 2-5/8" in diameter, decorated with four panels of complex linear designs. Find site noted. Ex Detroit estate.
