Andronicus II Palaeologus, with Michael IX. 1282-1328. AV Hyperpyron (22mm, 3.06 g, 6h). Constantinople mint. Struck 1303-1320. Half-length figure of the Virgin Mary, orans, within city walls with four towers; C/K–Π/N across field / Christ standing facing, crowning Andronicus II and Michael IX kneeling to either side. DOC 375-411; LPC p. 62, 1; PCPC 128.1, sigla 191; SB 2396. Good VF, graffito ("M") in reverse field.
