Silver bow fibula. Roman, probably Gaul, 1st–2nd centuries AD. Bow–type fibula with openwork arch terminating in head of a wolf or dog before terminal knob decorated with a pattern of pentagons. Maximum length: 38cm. See N. Mills, Celtic & Roman Artefacts R77 for similar. Toned. Deposits, light crack in pin, pin possibly reattached in modern times.
