ANCIENT COINS, ROMAN, Mint of Rome unless otherwise stated, Nero (AD 54-68), with Poppaea, Æ 22mm, minted at Smyrna, Ionia, struck AD 62-65, Klaros, strategos, and Hermogenes, magistrate, confronted busts of laureate Nero right and draped Poppaea left, rev Zeus seated left, holding s sceptre, 7.56g, 1h (RPC 2482). Some light scratches on the obverse, dark patina, very fine and scarce.
