A COLLECTION OF BRITISH COINS, HAMMERED GOLD, Edward IV (second reign, 1471-1483), Gold Angel, St Michael killing dragon with lance, leading foot on ground in front of body, beaded circle surrounding, initial mark heraldic cinquefoil both sides, EDWARD'x DEI GRA'x REX AnGL'x Z FRAnC, saltire stops, rev ship sailing right, quartered shield upon hull, cross above, E to left, rose to right, ropes 2/1, PER CRVCEM TVA' SALVA nOS XPC' REDEMPT', outer beaded border both sides, 5.08g (cf Schneider 468; N 1626; S 2091). One small rim split, dig between Angel legs, otherwise very fine, lightly toned.
