BRITISH COINS, William I (1066-1087), Silver Penny, Bonnet type (1068-1070?), York mint, moneyer Outhgrim, crowned and diademed facing bust to edge of coin with two fillets each side, legend commences lower left, +PILLELMVS REX, outer beaded circle surrounding both sides, rev annulet at centre of short voided cross with crescent and pellet ends, over small quadrilateral with pellet topped apexes, beaded inner circle surrounding, +OVĐGRIM ON EOFE, 1.32g (BMC type II; N 842; S 1251). Bold very fine with a clear portrait, toned.
