BRITISH COINS, Edward VI (1547-1553), Silver Crown, 1551, Third Period (1550-1553), Fine Silver issue (1551-1553), Southwark mint, king on horseback right, date below, stop either side, initial mark y (1551) both sides, rev quartered shield of arms on long cross fourchée, 30.51g (N 1933; S 2478). Lovely cabinet tone, light abrasion on edge at top of obverse with other weaknesses to the edge in places, date very weak, otherwise good fine.
