BRITISH COINS, Charles I, Silver Halfcrown, York mint (1643-1644), king on horseback left with raised sword and flowing sash, EBOR below, initial mark lion (1643-1644) both sides, rev crowned quartered oval shield of arms with garnish, crowned C and crowned R either side, floral sprays in legend, 14.15g (N 2314; S 2868). Attractively toned, on a typically convex flan, good very fine.
