BRITISH COINS, George III, Copper Twopence, 1797, laureate and draped bust right, K.: on shoulder, legend on raised border both sides, rev inverted die axis, Britannia seated left on rock with shield, holding trident and olive branch, ship to left, SOHO on rock to right, waves below, date on raised rim below, BRITANNIA. above, edge plain (Peck 1077; S 3776). Attractive mottled tone, some tiny nicks and hairlines to edge of coin and a few light hairlines, otherwise about extremely fine.
