Cumberland. Lake Farthing (1/4 Penny) Token 1796 MS64 Brown NGC, DH-2a (incorrect on NGC holder). E: Plain. A beautiful bronzed issue, struck on a thick flan with minimal post-strike distractions; possibly struck out of collar, and cataloged as such on previous collector tickets, but any evidence present doesn't appear definitive. Particularly enchanting is the obverse pictorial scene that illustrates a castle in ruin and what has been reported to be Derwentwater lake. An extremely rare type.
