Elizabeth I (1558-1603), seventh issue 1601-2, Crown, 29.81g, m.m.2, crowned bust left, wearing decorated dress and wide ruff, holding orb and sceptre, rev. shield over long cross fourchée (N.2012; S.2582A), grey tone, characteristic flatness in the centre of the obverse and a flat area in the legend at 5 o'clock, very fine, one of the great rarities of the English Crown series.
