Athens, c. 430s-420s BC. Tetradrachm (Silver, 23mm, 17.21 g 1). Head of Athena to right, wearing disc earring, pearl necklace and a crested Attic helmet adorned with three olive leaves and a spiral palmette. Rev. ΑΘΕ Owl standing to right, head facing the viewer; to left, olive sprig and crescent moon; all within incuse square. Agora 8. Dewing 1596 ff. Svoronos pl. 13, 21 ff. An attractive bold example, struck in high relief on a broad flan. Good extremely fine.
