GREEK COINS
Sikyonia

Sikyon, c. 431-400 BC. Hemiobol (Silver, 8.5mm, 0.50 g 3). Lion at bay to left, with both front paws together; above, Σ (on its back); below Η (on its side, = ημιωβλιον) Rev. Dove flying left with open wings; all within olive wreath tied on the right. BMC 44. BCD 206. Traité 770, pl. ccxx, 8. Weber 3901. Very rare and very well centered. Nearly extremely fine.

This is an unusually well preserved example, far better than the piece in the BCD collection.
