Chersonesos, c. 500-480 BC. Tritetartemorion (Silver, 10mm, 0.94 g 6). Lion's head to right with open jaws. Rev. ΧΕΡ Bull's head to right; all within incuse square. BMC 3 = Cahn X2 (same dies). Cf. SNG Munich 334 and Rosen 625 (but both without the ethnic). Extremely rare. Attractively toned as found. Extremely fine.

This minor town was a dependency of Knidos - its coinage is uniformly very rare, especially in such good condition.
