CELTIC COINS
Britain

Switzerland. Rauraci, mid 1st century BC or slightly later. Quinarius (Silver, 12mm, 1.58 g 3). NINNO Draped youthful male bust to left, with wing in his hair. Rev. MAVC Boar rushing to left. CCCBM II 541 ff. SLM 966 ff. This is a wonderful example, well centered, toned and sharply struck. Very minor die fault below the boar on the reverse, otherwise, extremely fine.

From the Cologny Collection, acquired in 2007, from an old Swiss collection and very possibly originally from the Balsthal find of 1839.
