Germany. Vindelici, mid 1st century BC. Quinarius (Silver, 14mm, 1.79 g 11), South Germany, especially the area north of Switzerland. Debased head to left, a precursor of the 'Büschelquinar' type. Rev. Celtic horse galloping to left; above to right, pellet. CCCBM II 215-216. SLM 1105. A boldly struck example, toned and attractive. On the usual rough flan. Nearly extremely fine.
