Philip II Caesar, 244-247. Tetradrachm (Silver, 26mm, 11,76 g 6), 244. ΜΑΡ ΙΟVΛΙ ΦΙΛΙΠΠΟC ΚΕCΑΡ Bare-headed and draped bust of Philip II to right. Rev. ΔΗΜΑΡΧ ΕΞ ΟVCΙΑC Eagle standing facing, on palm branch, with spread wings, his head turned to left and holding wreath in his beak; in exergue, S C. McAlee 1006. Prieur 331. Very rare. Attractively toned and with a splendid portrait of the young prince. Reverse slightly double struck, otherwise, extremely fine.
