Himera, c. 470-450 BC. Litra (Silver, 10mm, 0.79 g 8). Bearded male head to left, wearing crested helmet with raised ear guards. Rev. Ι-ΜΕR-ΑΙΟΝ Pair of greaves. Rizzo pl. XXI, 14. SNG Ashmolean 1769. SNG Lloyd 1030. Very rare. With an impressive archaic warrior head, slightly rough surfaces and an attractive gray tone. Nearly extremely fine.
