Katane, c. 461-450 BC. Litra (Silver, 10mm, 0.86 g 7). Balding head of Silenos to left, with an animal ear and a long beard. Rev. ΚΑΤ - ΑΝΕ Winged thunderbolt. Boehringer, Kataneische Li.2. Jameson 536. Rizzo pl. IX, 16. Rare. Of splendid style and elegance. Somewhat rough surfaces as found, otherwise, good very fine.
